Y.E.S. of Tampa was created to empower and enrich the lives of youth in the state of Florida. Children of all ages will benefit from the efforts to raise educational, mental, and emotional awareness for all youth.

Scholarships
High School Seniors
Scholarships will be available for graduating seniors with aspirations of attending an accredited post secondary institutions. Eligibility guidelines may vary.

Mental Health Awareness
12 – 18 year olds
Mental health concerns among youth are increasing at an alarming rate. Y.E.S. of Tampa will focus on mental health awareness through educational tools to help Florida's youth seek the necessary and appropriate services to address mental health issues.

Self-Advocacy
10 - 18 year olds
Teaching today's youth to love and implement self-love at a young age will strengthen their sense of self and well-being. All youth must understand that they are wonderfully made to fulfill their purpose in life. Know who you are, know what you need and know how to obtain it.

Youth Empowerment Services (Y.E.S.) of Tampa, is an organization dedicated to assisting youth of all ages in attaining academic success, developing mental health coping strategies, and strengthening self-advocacy skills. The growth and achievement in today's youth is an important cornerstone to ensuring success in adulthood. As a former School Social Worker and Clinical Mental Health Counselor, it has been a life long goal of mine to ensure that youth of all ages receive the necessary components to flourish and grow into well-balanced adults. A primary component will be empowering their voice, operating in self-love, and seeking higher knowledge. With the help of parents, community leaders, and educational institutions, Florida's youth will thrive and reach their highest level of educational, mental, and emotional success.

Pamela J. Thomas, M.Ed
As a current English Teacher of Hillsborough County, Pamela has over 20 years of experience educating middle and high school students. Formerly a writing coach and English department chair, her areas of expertise include; instructing with strategic learning practices, writing, researching and tutoring. As the educational consultant for Y.E.S. it is her desire to assist youth reach their highest academic potential in the areas of reading and writing.
